At the beginning of last year I planned to travel to my hometown of Chongqing from Beijing, where I live and work, as often as possible. That plan was one of my New Year’s resolutions, because both my mother and 93-year-old grandmother has been ill in hospital.
去年年初，我计划尽可能多地从我生活和工作的北京回到我的家乡重庆。这个计划是我的新年计划之一，因为我的母亲和93岁的祖母都生病住院了。
I wanted to see the two women I love most in the world much more often. However, I only saw them twice, in June and October, because of the COVID-19. On Jan 21, two days before Wuhan, Hubei province, took a lockdown for COVID-19, I decided to put off my trip. It was a very hard decision. I worried about my family. I wanted to go home to see how they were.
我想更经常地见到这世上我最爱的两个女人。但是，由于新冠肺炎疫情，我只在6月和10月见过他们两次。1月21日，也就是湖北省武汉市实施“一级防范禁闭”两天前，我决定推迟出行。这是一个非常艰难的决定。我担心我的家人。我想回家看看他们怎么样了。
