Pay、wage、salary、income和earnings用法解析
1、 pay 用作名词时，泛指从雇主处得到的工资或薪水。pay在这组词中含义最广。
The job offers good rates of pay.这工作报酬高。

2、体力劳动者的工资（通常指按周领的工资）通常用 wages 或 a wage表示，其中复数形式更为常见，尤其是表示实际拿到的现金时。
